Poor Cat Abandoned On Street Corner With His Litter Box

Some monsters abandoned cat in Brooklyn, New York. He was left alone in the street next to him; there were his litter box and other belongings. Kitty was left crying.

The photo of the heartbreaking scene was shared on social media, asking for help.

As soon as Elizabeth Champ found out about this story she rushed to rescue this poor cat. She is a founder of a group called FAT CATS, who performs the work of CED (capture, sterilize and return) in the neighborhood.

But it wasn’t as easy as it might seem, because kitty was extremely scared and he decided to hide for a while. After days of searching, kitty turned up in the backyard of Brooklyn local cat rescuer Karen Oh.

A cat was immediately brought to get vetted and screened for a microchip. It turned out that this kitty didn’t have a chip, but he was a healthy 1-year-old male. Elizabeth said that Nostrand (the name of the cat) was an angel during his initial visit to the Prospect Park Animal Clinic.

Champ told that this happens often, many male cats get dumped when they mature because there are not enough low-cost spay resources in New York City. Since people can’t afford to get them fixed, they often decide to dump them and get another cat.

Thanks to the awesome community Nostrand got lucky; he is now in the safe care of FAT CATS organization.
